About Us
Greta's vision since 1989
Amor caterers was established in 1989 as a small start-up business from Hammanskraal. Our first income was derived from doing catering for the Dean at the Faculty of Health, which entailed in many instances catering for 4 – 5 people, using gas and a pot at the faculty of Health`s veranda.
A few years later Amor Caterers started a cafeteria at the H W Snyman Building for students as it catered for all of the students’ needs. Word of mouth also reached the academic personnel who started to use Amor caterers for all of their functions. Later on Amor Caterers expanded even more and established a footprint in many more places, becoming a household name for any catering needs.
From their initial humble beginnings Amor caterers is proud to be well known in the catering business and is a caterer of choice for many prestige events. Amongst the many clients using Amor caterers for functions, the following clients are worth mentioning: Head of Defence Force, TUT, schools, big sports events at Pilditch; Sasol and Prestige College.
Snappy Foods was born during the pandemic.
When Covid-19 struck us, all of a sudden our reality was… no more students… no more events … but salaries needed for 27 staff members. We quickly realised that in order to survive we would have to adapt to our new reality and out of something that initially threatened to close our business down.
SNAPPY FOODS was born which created the luxury for anyone to buy a real 350g home cooked meal at a very affordable price. The best part is you only have to pop it in the microwave and dinner is ready! Delicious and convenient.
Our Food Policy
We only use fresh, quality products to prepare our delicious ready-made foods. Our staff are trained to be cautious and to strictly adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines as stipulated by the department of health and safety.

We believe that healthy, hearty meals are essential to the well-being of busy individuals and their families. The ready-made food we offer are not only delicious but also prepared with love and care. All you have to do is heat it in the microwave or oven.
